To be trans, nonbinary, or gender non-conforming means to live in an inherently politicized body. Transphobia and homophobia intimately impact our experiences of ourselves. These systems live inside each of us and shape what is and isn't possible. For many of us, this means that we have less than great relationships with our bodies and with food. It is incredibly smart to use food and body checking to take care of shame and internalized oppression in a culture that doesn't see our magic.
The good news is that our bodies can also be sites of knowledge, of our own power, of connection, and resilience.
In this highly experiential weekly somatic process group, we will work through the body as a way to explore our own healing and transformation. The process piece means that we will be deep in a practice of co-creating space for healing with each other. Brooke will hold space for somatic practice that will allow participants to hold space for each other.
Our work will be weight-neutral and grounded in the health at every size framework.
