Embodying Our Values: Developing a Politics Beyond Trauma
Friday May 29th 6-8 PM PST
Join us by Zoom!
With Brooke Stepp as part of the 2019-2020 Living Room Speaker Series
As folks deeply invested in liberation and the healing it takes to make that possible, we know how essential our work is. We have beautiful and sharp critiques of what isn't working in the world that often allow us to feel and know dignity when that isn't afforded to us by dominant systems. These experiences of trauma and oppression intimately shape our politics and what's possible in terms of our shared liberation.
In this highly experiential somatic workshop, we will examine and feel into that shaping. We will do this by working to identify how the embodied shaping of trauma shows up in each of our psychobiologies and in our collective psychobiology. We will also work to identify how our values are embodied and what politics are possible from a place of those values.
